The book “19 minutes” is about a school shooting and what lead up to it. The shooter is a boy by the name of peter and he shot up his high school. They go through his life and show what lead up to it like they go through his elementary school and how all the other kids made fun of him because he was a sensitive little boy and his mom said that most adults wish they could be like him. While he was in elementary school the teachers would punish him when the other kids made fun of him. He was forced to join soccer and didn’t like it and it didn’t fit him very well. He had and older brother who was killed when he was in high school and he was always compared to him throughout his life. He was called gay throughout his middle school and high school education and he only ever had one friend a girl named Josie and even she got rid of him when she started to get noticed by the popular kids. She was abused as Peter found out and he likes her and wanted to protect her from her abusive boyfriend.

This book kept jumping around throughout their lifes and it got confusing at times. It is a longer book but it is good. It has a suprise ending to it. But for the most part it is a good book.
