“Guide to Seldom Seen Animals” by Bob Frey was a very humorous and interesting book. I found that Frey liked to set up his book with different everyday scenarios and put his animals into the story as explanations. As soon as you start reading, you find out how big of an imagination Frey has. I think children will like this book because it will make them wonder and imagine the little creatures running around. After reading, I like to imagine the children  finding themselves searching for the animals whenever the unexplainable happens. The only modifications I would consider making is that some of the diction in the book might be a little too much for children under the age of 8. I also think that even though its meant to be funny, some of the animals names might be too hard to pronounce or understand for some children. Other than those two little issues, I found this book to be rather entertaining and funny. I would highly recommend this book for children ages 9-12. [ rating=9]

Hi! My name is Miranda. I'm 14 years old. I love reading almost every book. I like pretty much every genre. My favorite would have to books regarding animals, especially horses. And I cannot wait to help out and review books! I also enjoy writing. I like to be very creative and imaginative to keep the reader interested. I never like a dull moment. My goal as a writer is to write books that you won't want to put down.
