Brief Summary: L.A. Candy is a novel by Lauren ConradĀ  in which Jane Roberts and her best friend, Scarlett move to L.A. together and then are discovered. Once discovered, the two girls are filmed 24/7 by a reality TV crew. Two other girls also star on the show. L.A. Candy is full of drama and shows how harsh the world of reality TV can be.

Personal View: L.A. Cany was an intruiging novel- I couldn’t put it down. I liked how it showed the downside to “glamorous” life. In L.A. Candy, Jane is a bit chubby and the star of the show but she is not upset at all by her weight. I liked that because it shows that you don’t have to be stick- skinny to be happy. I would recommend this book to females aged between 14 and 20 who love fashion, Lauren Conrad and reading about drama.
