Summary: Carmen, Tibby, Leena, and Bridget have been inseparable their entire lives. They are fifteen and will all be going separate ways for the summer. Carmen buys a pair of jeans at a thrift store. The four girls all try the pants on. The girls are all different, but the pants fits each one of them perfectly. The pants were magic. They vow that the pants will travel with each girl so that they will always be together. The next morning, they say good-bye, and start a summer that will never be forgotten.

Review: Leena is shy and quiet, but goes to Greece for the summer with her grandparents. Even though Leens was shy, she definitely took chances. I love how she fell in love with Costas, a boy whose families did not get along. Bridget went off to soccer camp. I love how adventurous and brave she was. She also fell in love with a soccer coach who was off limits. Bridget always had a huge smile on her face and never let anything stop her. I think she’s a good role model because she was always living her life to the fullest. Tibby was the only one who stayed at home for the summer, but she met Bailey, a girl who was constantly under her feet. I hated how Tibby was so mean to Bailey at first. I always felt bad for her. But by the end, Bailey and Tibby┬ábecame close friends, even though there was an age gap. Bailey was fighting Leukemia, and eventually died. I loved how Tibby was there every step of the way with Bailey, even after she was gone. Finally, Carmen. Carmen was definitely one of my favorites. She was so excited to visit her dad for the summer, but then she found out he was going to get remarried and was already living with his fiance and her kids. Carmen was always feeling invisible and unwanted. I always felt so bad for her because she was such a nice girl who was let down by her own dad. Overall, I loved how the story revolved around the pants. I love how the pants kept the girls connected even when they were around the world. This book showed that friendship can still be strong if you are not together, and a true best friend is there for you no matter what. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone!
