From the beginning I was very interested in the funny and imaginative names for the places, things, and characters. Laurence Knighton has a way with story telling that is just magnificent. The characters personalities were very real and believable, just as the the idea of talking bugs and animals is hilarious. Mr. Knighton created the perfect blend of realism and fantasy. I had no trouble at all picturing the story in my head.
Digger, the main character was very brave and determined. He reminded me of myself in a way, because I am very determined to. The sourgripers made an extraordinary impression on me because my friend and I can never stop arguing with each other. This book is very well written, but I would not recommend it for kids over seven. Overall I would give this book an eight out of ten. If you read Holler, I hope you enjoy it!
