When Percy battled the empeousa cheer leading squad, he encountered Rachel. Rachel has agreed to help them get through the Labyrinth to stop Kronos, the Lord of Time, from invading camp Half-Blood. The only way to stop the invasion is to find Daedalus (the creator of the Labyrinth) and tell him to not tell Kronos how to get through the Labyrinth. It was funny when the god of Heaven gets mad at Grover for “flirting” with her, so she magically hangs him upside down. I felt that Percy likes Rachel but, he is trying to hide his feelings from Annabeth. Overall I thought that this book was great. It keeps you on your toes a lot of the time. I had to look up a few words in the dictionary so I would recommend this book to 9-12 year olds.
